Family run and family friendly.
Nestled in the heart of historic Colinton village, just a stone's throw from the Colinton Dell, our establishment is a beloved spot for locals, walkers, and visitors alike.
We serve freshly prepared dishes to suit a wide range of tastes, from light bar snacks to indulgent three-course meals as well as specials that change frequently so there may always be a surprise!
Our bar boasts real ales and a rotational cask ale, over forty different malt whiskies, and a variety of wines available by the glass or bottle.
Whether you're here for a delicious meal, a refreshing pint, or a glass of wine, you'll find a warm and inviting atmosphere to relax and unwind.
We also have a gorgeous outdoor area where you can enjoy a drink, weather permitting of course!

We’re proudly dog friendly and love welcoming well behaved pups to dine with us 🐾 That said, we do have a designated dog free section for guests who’d prefer not to sit next to a four legged friend during dinner so please when booking make sure to check if you’re bringing a dog or not so we can accommodate.
We encourage larger (6+) bookings not to bring dogs as you are limited to where you can sit. A friendly reminder as well a request is a request, we will try our best to fulfil it!
or fancy giving a gift to someone special?
We do have on street parking as well as on the main road in Colinton Village, if these are full there is also a little car park underneath the bridge on the dell! You can then take a 5 minute scenic walk to The Spylaw following this map.

Colinton tunnel & CUDDIES LANE
Located right next to The Spylaw is an old decommissioned train tunnel/tracks that has been given a new lease of life. Decorated by local artists & charities. This enchanting mural in a Victorian railway tunnel was created to bring visitors to Colinton and to make people smile, it's photogenic too! We also have the new mural unveiled late July which boasts familiar faces etched up Cuddies Lane.
Here is a slice of the mural with the man himself - Chris Rutterford (https://www.chrisrutterford.com/)
